Hi all, I recognize a few of you!
My name is Leah, I live in central Iowa... my husband and I have three dogs, two cats and a ball python. We also volunteer and foster for Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus, and I'm a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (sounds cooler than it actually is... quite boring, actually!)
We'll go oldest to youngest.....
Here's Kaylee. 3 yr old show dog (BIS winner in UKC, singled out owner-handled in AKC), starting her obedience career this year, all-around great dog and the Doberman of my dreams!
Revy is 2 yrs old. Yes she is purebred - who knew two champion Pembroke Welsh Corgis could produce a blue-eyed puppy! She's a spitfire, clownish and upbeat... but she also technically passed the Doberman working aptitude evaluation with flying colors, so she's got nerves of steel for a 22lb dwarf!
Lastly, Jayne. He was sort of an "oops" acquisition, but he has turned out to be a great dog. He's 17 months old, one competition win away from his ALCH.
We also have a darling foster dog right now. Katie is nearly 13 years old, and spent the first 11 years of her life in a shelter. Our rescue pulled her, in an effort to give her a shot at a forever home - or at least the opportunity to spend her last days in a real home, foster or not.
