HI!

I used to be active on the pit bull forums a while back...some of you may remember my pit/mastiff pup JJ who was born broken?




We lost JJ back in '08 and it just about broke my heart...that's when I dropped off the message board radar and had a couple of babies

We still have our now-aging husky, Loki



We also added a new pup over the winter...we were told she is a mastiff/rottie mix, although she is now looking to be more mastiff/shepherd. The vet thinks coonhound. What do YOU think? She is 7 months old now and 70 lbs...this is Sara:



I'm much more involved in rescue now that the kids are a little bigger and I'm fostering once a month - just sent our last foster pup to her new home yesterday





ETA How could I forget Rufus? This is Rufus, the wondercat. He has paws like catcher's mitts and thinks he is a dog. He's fearless and stalks among the big dogs like he owns the place LOL

Wow, what a memory trip. I absolutely do remember JJ, actually I remember that exact picture. I did go by a different username then, though.

Glad to see you here! I love Sara and Loki! If I could get a Husky as sweet and cat-safe as Loki I'd probably do it in a heartbeat. I love huskies!

Haha and I'll never have another one. I loooooove Loki, he is uncharacteristically low-energy and sweet for a husky, but the FUR! Good Lord, the fur. I can't deal with it after Loki.

Aw thank you! He is 3.5 and my youngest is 18 months

Thank you! I'm actually Lizzie...pretty sure that was my screen name back then. Now, it's SaraBear. DH has kept all dogs at arms' length since JJ - his heart was broken into pieces when JJ passed. But Sara is my girl - she has wormed her way into my heart and I loooooooovvve her <3
